*RAPPORTS DE RECHERCHE - RESEARCH REPORTS:

GUIDE À L'USAGE DES AUTEURS - INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

ENGLISH VERSION

VERSION FRANÇAISE (en construction)

General instructions:

·         Research reports should contribute to the field of primary care research (empirically, methodologically, and/or theoretically).

·         There are no limitations with respect to the length of research reports; however, the editor may urge authors to be more concise.

·         Since we have no facilities for editing and proof-reading, authors should send only ready-for-publication research reports (no drafts will be reviewed).

·         Research reports should be written in accordance with APA style for articles (unless justified otherwise): www.apastyle.org

·        Online referencing: As cited URLs tend to randomly disappear, we will use WebCite® to archive abstracts of research reports and theses. Such permanent webreference is now often requested by peer-review publications.

Research reports should follow the usual format (unless justified otherwise):

·         Title

·         Authors

·         Authors’ affiliations

·         Corresponding author

·         Abstract

·         Abbreviations

·         Keywords

·         Introduction

·         Background

·         Methods

·         Results

·         Discussion

·         Conclusion

·         Acknowledgements

·         Conflicts of Interest

·         References

·         Appendices

·         Supplementary files

Note: Since we have no facilities for editing, illustrations should be already included in the text (Box, Figures, Tables).

Easy & fast 3-step publication process:

·         The corresponding author should send a cover email to a member of the Editorial Board with the research report in one WORD file in attachment, and supplementary files when needed (e.g., additional screenshots of a website, mpeg/Quicktime video or audio files, or files containing original data).

·         Research reports will be reviewed within 1-working month by an Editor. The corresponding author should then send an email answering the Editor’s comments with the research report in one PDF file in attachment, and supplementary files when needed.

·         Final research reports will be published online within 1-working month after their acceptance.
